Funny I was thinking about closing my Etsy shop this week because of lack of sales and suddenly I sold this piece.  Weird how stuff like that happens!  I love this pendant and I am glad it is going to a good home. Feeling a bit under the weather today.  Kids are back in school and the flu is now going around at work....uggghhhhh!  I hate being sick.

Impressionist at the Seattle Art Museum

Visited the Seattle Art Museum today to see the latest Impressionist exhibit.  It was really quite good comparing old masters work with the Impressionist.  I learned quite a lot. Always nice to see these paintings in Seattle.    I am a bit sad today as this is the last day of my vacation.  Not looking forward to getting back to the daily grind.  I will miss my naps with my critters and lack of office politics.  Sigh......I must say today really made me want to go back to Europe.  Hopefully in the next few months I can get back.    

On Vacation!!!

Thrilled to be on vacation.  Probably the last one for the year.  Been listening to a lot of great music lately.  Posted about Jack Savoretti a couple of days ago and he is fantastic.  I have also been listening to Brandi Calrlile.  Looked her up from a GM commercial of all things.  Hoping to get art done this week.  Enjoy this video -

Great Day Off on Friday

 Had a fabulous day off yesterday.  My friend Craig was in town from NYC and we hit the town to attend the Bellevue Art Museum Art and Crafts Fair.  Craig was like a kid in a candy store loving everything!  Our first serious stop was here (I have long admired this artist)  http://www.christinagoodman.com/index.html and am a proud owner of one of her Italian inspired jewelry pieces now.  I really loved this artist Amy Spassov http://www.hallwaygallery.com/gallery02.html.  Her portraits and abstracts really spoke to me.  My friend Craig ended up purchasing a stunning piece from Amy's boyfriend http://www.hallwaygallery.com/gallery06.html for his library in his Victorian beach house!  

After a corn dog and lemonade we headed to Snohomish to see some antiques.  Craig was thrilled with the selection and I actually found a coveted antique dress form that was affordable with only three small tears.  I walked away from it at first and in the end I had to have it.  Looks good in my art room, no? 

 We ended the day at the Purple Wine bar in Kirkland having Lobster Risotto and sharing a great Zin.

I woke up a bit sad this morning that the day we have long planned is over.

It was a good effort!

Today was the art show. Only sold 1 pair of earrings.  My display looked fantastic thanks to the stylings of my friend Jill Haddaway!  She even organized my Moo cards to display portrait or landscape.  Thanks for your help and company today Jill,  I really appreciate it.  Also: got to hang with Genie.  What the day lacked in sales it made up for in good company.

Goodbye 30's

Well tomorrow I say goodbye to my 30's not much else to say about that besides life goes way too fast!

I share a birthday with my sweet Bella.  She is going to be 2.  The photo below is from the day I met her.  Happy Birthday Bella!  I love you my sweet wiggly girl!!!!
